Plover Cove New Town Development

Proposals

Property redevelopment takes at least 3-5 years to complete.  Hence, stable land supply in Hong Kong is of utmost importance on stabilizing property prices in residential sector.  Being a practitioner in real estate sector for over 30 years, the founder of EAFM, Sr. Frederick Lai has put forward a bold and innovative proposal to Hong Kong Government, which is able to provide land supply of 1,200 hectares at one go.  The idea of transforming the Plover Cove Reservoir to a new town was evolved in December 2016. After three years of detailed analysis and incubation, a web site to introduce this innovative idea to the general public in details is constructed as per the link below.

The idea was supported and endorsed by Professor Chau Kwong-wing of The University of Hong Kong in early 2017 and be named as an option of land supply during a press conference of HKU Ronald Coase Centre in July 2017 which has drawn massive media coverage.
